A client wanted to improve the quality of customer support by providing an AI assistant to its customer support staff. We created an AI assistant that gives the customer support representative advice on how to support the customer based on solutions it learned from past call logs. This AI assistant used data from transcribed calls to instruct customer support representatives on how to assist the customers.

Customer Support Assistant

Companies that operate a recruiting website for their own hiring efforts face the challenge of identifying the best candidates among a potentially very large number of applicants who submit their applications. We developed an AI system that conducts personal interviews with candidates immediately after they submit their application. It quickly analyzes a candidate's CV and asks tailored, intelligent questions to further evaluate the particular candidate. The system provides a score and summary of each candidate, so that the recruiting manager or HR can focus on the best candidates.

Companies who receive a large number of job applications have a need to evaluate CVs efficiently and identify the best candidates. We created a CV Evaluation system to aid us in that process. The system takes the job description and evaluation criteria as input and evaluates all candidates. It greatly reduces the amount of time on evaluating and finding the right candidates.

We developed a hotel-booking demo system simulating a hotel-booking operator. The simulated operator responds to customer inquiries about hotels and takes reservations. The system uses real chats between a booking operator and customers to fine-tune a language model that is used to simulate the operator. This resulted in a chatbot that mimicked human operators effectively, something that is quite difficult to do without fine-tuning.

A client wanted to understand the topics of calls to their call center logs in more depth to evaluate the quality of the service. We created an AI analyzer that analyzed the transcribed calls and effectively answered questions about the problems customers discussed with the support staff.

Hallucination

Users may attempt to deviate from the task the AI system is designed to complete. It can be challenging to detect this and force the chatbot to stay on topic.

Training and inputting data that is consistent leads to reliable results. It can be challenging to identify inconsistencies and set standards.

Data preprocessing

Higher quality data leads to more reliable results but is expensive. Larger quantities of data lead to more robust results but the cost to get the quality high is quite high.

Quality vs quantity

AI systems can offer many benefits by integrating with external apps. However, the AI systems must be controlled to keep them safe and reliable.

Integration with apps

Currently LLMs are not trained in real-time so their knowledge base can easily become out of date. Technology such as vector databases must be used to keep the AI system knowledge base up to date.
